A. Le Coq 67th Moonsund Regatta Opening Party at Kalev YC |
The Kalev Yacht Club marina opens its doors all day on Saturday, July 13th, and welcomes everyone to a double opening party – celebrating the opening of Estonia's largest and oldest regatta, the A. Le Coq 67th Moonsund Regatta, and the new marina house of the Kalev Yacht Club!
The regatta village will be open all day at the Kalev Yacht marina in Pirita, filled with boats participating in the regatta.
Amazing food will be provided by Reval Cafe, Sailors' Home, and the Alexela food truck. Vladislav Koržets and Hanno "Kalastaja" Kask will host a Baltic herring workshop, and Sportland, Alter Marine, and Nautical will offer sailing equipment and clothing. Children from the Kalev Yacht Club Sailing School will introduce sailing, and a famous Estonian folkgroup Puuluup will perform on stage. Multitalented DJ Reigo Ahven will help create a festive atmosphere.

13:00-18:00 Knot workshop and a chance to take a small sail on the river in an Optimist
Students from the Kalev Yacht Club Sailing School will introduce various sailboats, starting with the Optimist. There will be a knot workshop on the shore, and for those interested, a small test sail on the river.
14:30-18:30 Baltic herring workshop with Vladislav Koržets and Hanno Kask
The Estonian Marine Institute Fisheries Information Center, together with the "Kalastaja" kitchen, will promote eating Baltic herring, Estonia's national fish. We will make simple dishes from Baltic herring and get creative. The workshop is free for everyone, and the prepared food will be enjoyed together.
